Yes, all 6 were still alive and all reached pensionable ages.

Hi Derrick, If they are all missing that implies they were all together, and possibly the surname was mis-spelt (my sample suggests a significant percentage were) or maybe outside of England/Wales. Having lost both parents, they may have been staying with relatives and possibly had adopted their surname. If one had an unusual forename or two try searching without a surname in the whole of Warwickshire of the right age. Have you found them in the 1939 civilian register? findmypast.co.uk/search-world-Records/1939-register

McSporran. Thanks for your input which spurred me on to get to the bottom of things. As I said, they were all on the 1911 census and I found them all again [all married by then] on the 1939 Register and all still living in Coventry with their original name [Reddington]. I then searched the 1921 census using first names only and their years of birth and found two people listed as Paddington rather than Reddington. I then searched for Paddingtons and found all 6 of them still living at their father’s house at 10 Vauxhall Terrace under the care of the eldest sibling Herbert who was 26. They had also transcribed Victor as Victot. I am so relieved that I have sorted this out and thanks again for your suggestions. I don't think it is possible to offer corrections to the 1921 census as you can do for transcription errors on other censuses so the error will probably remain forever.
