Hello, just checking back to see if anyone had any experiences here between 1973-77?

I enjoyed seeing the photos posted here: they brought back many memories. I was at Corley for several months (not sure how many) in about 1945. Doctors said I had chest problems but I felt felt fit and strong, and did not understand why I was there. Although I enjoyed my time there I did become homesick at one point and joined a group of escapees. Because we walked on the main road to Coventry it was easy for the police to "capture" us.

Hello Engelbert, Derek Haughton (aka Tom Rymer of this forum) shares many memories of Corley Open Air School in his autobiography "What Are Yer? Bleeder". He would have been there late 1940's early 1950's.
