On the 15th June 1964 the Ministry of Pensions & National Insurance at 94 Gosford Street (formerly the Morris factory) was devastated by fire. This series of amazing photos was kindly given to me by Helen Howley, whose father had a grandstand view from his chemist shop on the London Road, now the fishing tackle shop.
